I do not run a commercial kitchen. I use organic green tea, black tea, and organic cane sugar in my brews. The kit you purchase does not include these materials, but I am happy to donate enough supplies for your first brew along with a SCOBY and one cup of starter liquid along with your kit. You can get these materials on your own and your SCOBY from a friend if you know someone who brews Booch or let me know if you would like me to pack it up for you.
Some other items you may want to invest in but are not necessary for a successful brew are pH test strips, a big bottle of white vinegar for hand and material sanitizing, a rubber jar gripper, strainer (if you don't like floaters...I do not) and The Big Book of Kombucha by Hannah Crum & Alex LaGory.
Remember, store bought Kombucha is between $4-$5/bottle. After your initial investment for the kit you are looking at less than $1/bottle. All you will ever have to buy again is tea and sugar and ingredients for your second ferment which is usually just different kinds of fruit...get creative!
For now, this kit is available for local pickup only.
