You all know I'm a sucker for VINTAGE and it all started with a little thing called Kantha. Often, I take this fabric and dice it up and make head wraps and bags, but recently I've been making...blankets!
Each one is completely unique and one of a kind because it is crafted from reclaimed, vintage Sari cloth and hand stitched using Kantha embroidery. It's not just a blanket though, it is super lightweight, so great for spring and summer on cooler nights but it doubles as a picnic or beach throw. I keep one in the car and use it for just about everything!
It is a piece of conscious, up-cycled fashion that lasts a lifetime. Remember this fabric is VINTAGE...it has been loved for many years and will show that love in how soft the fabric is, but also will be fatigued in some areas.
Better yet, each piece is reversible and measures 52x80 inches. Because this is ordered sight unseen from India, I never know what I'm going to get until I open the box...which I love! I promise they are all gorgeous!
My inventory of Kantha arrives to me sight unseen, so I never know what patterns or colors I’ll have in stock. If you have a color preference please message me when you order and I’ll do my best to accomodate.
